Fabulous Lives of Celebrities Having Diabetes & How You Too Can Live Your Best Life!

Across the globe there are about 422 million people who have diabetes.[1] In India alone there are more than 77 Mn. people who are living with diabetes. Among the two major forms of diabetes, Type 2 diabetes is more common than Type 1. The sad but a drastic reality-check of this disease, or for that matter any other health condition lies in the fact is that it can happen to anyone. How one manages it, is what matters the most. In 2013, the ‘Cast Away’ star himself had revealed about him being diagnosed with Type-2 diabetes in a famous talk show. But did it bother the actor so as to bog him down? Certainly not, post this declaration the actor went on to make some great films like Saving Mr. Banks (2013), Sully (2016), and A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (2019). He has also given voice to the character of Sheriff Woody in the Toy Story film series (1995–2019).[2]

  • Begin with clean eating and taking medicines regularly.
  • Start with light exercises and stay active. You can practice Yoga, Zumba, Pilates, Swimming, and Lunges apart from walking after consultation with doctor.
  • Monitor blood-sugar level and weight regularly.
  • Take extra care of your feet. Wear closed shoes, check every week for determining any cut or injury. In case of new shoes, introduce them gradually.
  • Consult your doctor before travelling and stock up on your medicines. Healthy snacking is highly recommended.

  10. I knew about Wasim Akram as he appeared in the glucometer ad and Arvind Kejriwal but others I had no idea about. Specially Anil Kumble but if they manage it then everyone can shove it off and can put his/her best foot forward.
