Anatomy, the word has almost been synonymously attributed to the physical being of human existence since Aristotle first coined the term. However, in recent times, mental well-being has also been drawing great attention. In the book, ‘Spiritual Anatomy’ by Daaji, the author has delved into a third level which goes further beyond the realms of the former two levels of existence, our Spiritual being. I will add that I believe this to be the most important aspect of existence. Spiritual Anatomy, the book, focuses on transforming ourselves by using yogic philosophy, meditation & working on chakras as the medium to reach the spiritual center.

Book Breakdown
The book begins with a compelling introduction to the spiritual anatomy concept, establishing its importance as a gateway to self-discovery and inner peace. Daaji using the ‘Awareness Atlas’ questionnaire adeptly sets one to embark on the inner journey. In the subsequent pages, he introduces or should I put it re-introduces, the topic of Chakras. Here, he puts a novel perspective on the chakras significantly different from the conventionally known chakras in yoga. Later, he delves into the thirteen chakras one after the other. The practical insights take the readers on an unparalleled transformative experience.
What Didn’t Work in this Book:
In some places especially in the starting chapters, the concepts were a little heavy to absorb personally speaking. The later chapters were more engaging and direct.
What Worked in the Spiritual Anatomy: Meditation, Chakras, and the Journey to the Center Book:
- The author has used many examples to explain concepts clearly and add a relatable touch to the reader’s spiritual journey.
- Two clear-cut winners for me in the book Spiritual Anatomy are the Ask Daaji & Self-Reflection sections towards the end of chapters.
- The diagrammatic representation of chakras helped in making the read more visually engaging.
- The glossary will surely be of ready use for readers new to the concept of heartfulness meditation.
- Lastly, the most important of all is the in-depth exploration of chakras.
