First things, first..I am not a die hard #SalmanKhanfan though I do acknowledge him as a very fine actor & a handsome person. Consequently I was not excited about his new Bollywood flick, #JaiHo! However, as friends insisted went out to watch the flick.. Here’s my Viewer’s review of this film by Sohail Khan released on 24th January 2014.
This film has ‘Power of a (Aam Aadmi) Common Man’ as the core with an action-comic story weaved around it. The question is, whether it is the influence of the current political scene in India or is it the redeveloped friendship with SRK? The film has a series of actors like Genelia D’Souza, Ashmit Patel, Yash Tonk, Vikas Bhalla, Nauheed Cyrusi etc. for mostly five – ten minutes role. I guess Salman through this film has tried to bring them into limelight again.
However, Salman & the action sequences are the stars of the show. Daisy Shah is a talented dancer but fails in convincing the audience as a heroine opposite Salman. The romantic angle in this film seems irrelevant with a good concept of making a chain of helping three people. Tabu, Denny, Mohnish Behl & Nadira Babbar performed well in their clear defined roles. Songs except the intro & final song, all songs are long and boring. Overall an okay movie to watch in the 26th January week.. and that Roar is quite Dabang Salman!
