Recently, I was at KidZania Delhi NCR, well not only for having a fun time but being a part of the celebration on the occasion of 206th Anniversary of Mexico’s National Independence Day.
The event was hosted by Kidzania because this brand was originally conceptualized in Mexico and also had their first facility launch in the year 1999. Since then it is one of the fastest growing kids interactive edutainment brands in the world. In India, KidZania is currently in Mumbai & Great India Place, Noida (Delhi NCR).
I must say it is an ideal paradise for kids according to their age groups to learn about many aspects of daily life like shopping, cooking, banking, first aid & more about medical treatments, fire fighting etc. There is more to do but in a very interesting and fun way. I am sure all kids would love to do be here. Even for parents, it is a joyful experience being at Kidzania along with kids as they too can relive their childhood memories.
The Mexican Independence Day event on 16th September 2016 was attended by the Mexican Ambassador H. E. Melba Pria. She is the only Ambassador with a chauffeur driven auto-rickshaw as her official vehicle! This date is considered the beginning of the Mexican War of Independence.
The ceremony was one of its kind I have personally ever seen. It is called ‘The Cry of Independence’. The ritual includes the ringing of church bells to be performed & all the honorary Mexicans and visitors cheer along, saying “Viva Mexico” before and after the Mexican national anthem. Being an honorary Mexican for this ritual that day filled me with immense delight as I too cheered “Viva Mexico” for the sake of the sake of friendly country Mexico and off course its lovely ambassador H. E. Melba Pria.
Post this ceremony Her Excellency along with the children from Shikhar Foundation participated in the Fire Fighting Activity at KidZania.
KidZania Delhi NCR in collaboration with the Mexican Embassy has also announced exciting offers on entry tickets to Delegates of all Embassies in Delhi NCR from 12th – 30th Sep 2016.
