Christmas days are here again and the fervour of the festival is fast catching up. Everybody Christians or Non-Christians is indulging themselves in decorating their homes for the upcoming festival and New Year. But while doing so you surely wouldn’t like to have a hole in the pocket. So why not do it yourself!
Here are a few easy homemade Christmas decoration ideas:
List of Contents
Hanging Angel
A simple craft with some paper cutting, some pasting & a dash of glitter that too from a paper napkin. You can use it to decorate the Christmas tree or hang near the window or door window handles to beautify these commonly used but neglected corners of the house.
Origami Star:
You will require five regular origami sheets of paper (the same ones which we used in craft class at school), some glue & a crystal to decorate. The process is readily available with a video demo on youtube.com which can be followed and create a beautiful star. A version of this can be made from translucent handmade paper in which a light bulb can be inserted and hung in different corners of the house.
Christmas Tree Ornament:
Another creative way of using a paper napkin. Cut the paper into thin strips and then tie from the middle to form an elegant ornament to be put on X’mas Tree.
Homemade Wreath:
Take an iron cloth hanger and twist it to form around. Now wrap a green decorative frill thread around it. Now stick small red balls randomly. Twist these in thin satin ribbon, and put a bow made out of broad satin ribbon at the top or bottom of it to complete a beautiful wreath.
Origami Christmas Tree:
You will require regular origami sheets of paper & some glitter. The process can be followed through a video demo on youtube. These trees can be made of multi-colour and kept near the nativity crib or can be tied together to form a bunch and hung with some chimes to create a Xmas special wind chime.
Joyful Angel Stick-on:
Again the unique way to use kitchen paper napkins. But for this, some amount of drawing is required. If you can do that then making these beauties yourself is possible. These stick-ons can be used to decorate walls, cupboards, and dining table centrepieces. My way of using it is on my nativity crib barn.
Santa‘s Stick:
Have you got aluminium foil in your kitchen? If yes then all you need is a medium-size aluminium foil & some thin red satin ribbon. Twist the foil into the stick shape and then wrap it around. Neat the edges and you are done.
