It’s a social world and social networks have adorned a number of meanings than just getting restricted to networking. The social websites are virtual and taking a piggyback from it all of us also adorn a virtual disguise.
Here are some pointers to check your Social Disguise Quo:
#1.
If your friend list includes that classmate of yours whom you never spoke to during your school or college days and still don’t.
#2.
If you snoop in other’s profile to see what’s cooking.
#3.
If you spend most of your time clicking photographs on a holiday.
#4.
If you are ready to kill your ‘soulmate’ but your profile is a showoff of eternal love.
#5.
If updating your status, cover photo or profile photograph is a moral booster for you.
#6.
If you like somebody’s photo just for obliging.
#7.
If you comment on your relative’s photo just for the sake of it.
#8.
If you feel elated by posting a check-in more than being at the place.
#9.
If you religiously upload any new photograph of yours and revisit to check likes & comments on it.
#10.
If you count your blessings with the number of birthday wishes on the website.
#11.
If you take up your friend’s hobby just for gaining popularity.
Verdict:
-
Maximum ‘Yes: You have created a virtual illusion of your persona and life. Is it? Why? How? You are the best person to answer these questions. A need to check and choose between the disguise or your true self.
-
50:50: Muaahh.. you have mastered the art of balancing the disguise and real self. You are in control. Great Going!
-
Maximum ‘No’: Boring! Common you can let loose yourself a little bit. It’s time to play some hide & seek.
