Hello, Sindoor Adorned Lovely Ladies!
Now in real life observing the Karwa Chauth fast for the long & prosperous life of your husband might not be so fanciful as shown in the Hindi movies but it is not less either.
So the original Husband’s day is here, Ladies! I am sure many married Indian women must be keeping this fast across the globe. But are you among those women who haven’t got time until the D-day that’s today for preparations and things like facials etc. in advance?
No Worries! Here are some brilliant ideas for you to look glamorous in a day’s time:
Step 1: Get the Mehendi Applied First.
Nowadays with so much buzz made about this day there are mehendiwalas and mehendi shops running till late and starting early in the morning from one day before of this festival. So I am sure finding a Mehendiwala eary in morning won’t be an issue.
Step 2: Time to Revive Your Tresses!
As Hair expert Ruchi Sawhney, renowned hair & nail expert and the owner of R’s Just Hair Salon says, “Karwa chauth falls at a very good time of the year, so that women can stylishly let their hair down. No heat, no sweat. If your hair feels dry and damaged forever, one can blindly go on for a Keratin treatment which puts back great shine and lustre in the hair.”
Next get global coloring fused with highlights or just the highlights (if you don’t need a global colour) for an immediate change of look.
Step 3: Manicure, Pedicure and the Nail Polish:
After the Hair have been taken care of, it is time for getting hands and feet beautified. So go for a gentle yet quick Manicure and Pedicure session. Do not go for elaborate sessions. As far as Nail Polish is concerned, for a busy bee like you, opt for a ‘Gel Polish’. Generally used nail paint no matter of which brand often chips off and it takes ages to dry. So this new technology with beautiful nail art designs can become one of the most miraculous transformation for Karwa Chauth day. The best part of it being it’s good for three weeks, without bother.
Step 4: Increases your Face Value:
Next go for a mild bleach at the parlour itself. Going for a facial on the same day is a pure waste of money as facials give their best result after 24 hrs. or so. Rather go for a ‘Clean Up’ service at the salon or after returning to your home just apply a gold based peel off facial mask.
Step 5: Dress Check:
By this time if you haven’t decided about what you are going to wear in the evening then simply search your wardrobe, I am sure you will find a pretty traditional saree or salwar suit that will be just right for the occasion. If it is your first Karwa Chauth then why not make it special and relive the memories of marriage by dressing up in your wedding outfit.
Completing all the above steps will almost take three-fourth of your day and after which you can do the evening Katha reading session. Relax for an hour or so. Post that it will be time for you to do the makeup and get dressed up for the finale – the‘Pati pooja’!
Happy Karwa Chauth!
