Four Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Watch Dilwale Movie and Two to Watch It..

Mere mention of SRK, makes many Indians (read bacche, bade,  chachis’, tayas’ etc.) including me (SRK Fans in short) go bonkers and then if we get to see him and Kajol pair up in a movie, it is something that cannot be missed out so easily.
But not before reading the below mentioned four reasons why you shouldn’t go for this movie and two reasons that make spending your pocket-money and leisure time worth.

Why you shouldn’t watch the movie:

  • Story:

The story is rather a predictable saga which is a mix of yesteryear Bollywood tried and tested plots. Adding further, a sequence and more has also been inspired from an English Rom-Com.
  • Failed Shahrukh-Kajol Chemistry:

A major audience puller aspect about this movie is Shahrukh Khan being paired against Kajol after a long time. However, the duo fail to convince audience with their reel love and they are looking ‘just friends’ on screen.
  • Wasted Johnny Lever, Boman Irani and many more:

To make the film more audience appealing, director (Rohit Shetty) and his team has tried to add many comic sequences in the film with the help of Johnny Lever and Boman Irani. At some instances the comedy does compel audience to burst into laughter but  mostly it was just okay or wasted. Even veteran actors like Vinod Khanna and Kabir Bedi are only seen in cameo roles.
  • Gerua Song:

Though the song has been beautifully recorded but the overload of VFX put in making the video makes the song visually unappealing.

Two Things That Make Watching The Movie Worth:

  • Shahrukh Khan:

From the time he has started doing one film per year, a hardcore SRK fan like me look forward to watching him onscreen like in this film. He is a feast to watch and an utter inspiration. However, an earnest request from my side to him:
Dear Sir,
If ever you stumble over this blog post of mine then my earnest request to you from my end. Please try and do more films like Swades or Chak De or Bazigar or Darr or DDLJ and many more. Please stop doing mediocre films and comedy – no please!
A Sincere Fan of Yours.
  • Kajol:

After yet another break in her career, Kajol is looking beautiful and fresh.
For me the decision whether to watch the film or not was rather easy. Now it’s your turn to finally take a call on seeing this movie or not.
Enjoy!
