Bollywood stars and famous personalities from sports have long been associated with Amazon India Fashion Week. This year too, the Autumn/Winter edition of #AIFW17 saw many celebrities walking down the ramp to flaunt their favorite designer’s latest collection.

Alia Bhatt
Alia Bhatt was the celebrity showstopper for Namrata Joshipura. The designer’s collection which was sponsored by Maybelline India was showcased on Day 3 of Amazon India Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2017. Dressed in a dark green embellished outfit, the young Bollywood actress did a confident walk. She is the face of Maybelline India and so rightfully ought to be the showstopper.

Sakshi Tanwar
It was refreshing to see Sakshi Tanwar who was last seen in Aamir Khan’s Dangal walk the ramp for Anju Modi. Dressed in a beige colored ethnic outfit she enjoyed her walk on the ramp to the core and reminded the audience of film heroines from 1950’s & 60’s era.

Vaani Kapoor
The Befikre & Shudh Desi Romance actress dazzled the ramp in a black velvet gown designed by ace designer Rina Dhaka. She seemed poised and all glammed up during the fashion show.

Sangram Singh:
The Indian wrestler who has represented India many times in world championships walked the ramp for designer Dhruv Vaish. This fashion show was sponsored by Nexa and was one among the collection of 6 fashion showcases done by varied designers. Sangram Singh was seen blushing with him being dressed in a contrasting attire than his own personality. The Dhruv Vaish designed look for Sangram Singh had a matching checks waistcoat & trousers while the shirt, jacket & hat were in matching solid dark shade. Sangram smilingly took off his hat & bow down to the audience.

Anushka Manchanda:
Former VJ, singer & actress Anushka Manchanda was styled in a hot sporty look for Nougat One. She was seen wearing military print pants, crop top, military jacket & boots.

Nora Fatehi:
Remember the girl that danced her heart out in the song Teri Toh Teri Ta Yaad Satavein..? Oh! sure you do, she is none other than Nora Fatehi who was last seen in Jhalak Dikhla Ja show which was aired on Colors Television. She walked the ramp in style for designer Pawan Sachdeva. She was seen wearing an entirely black outfit which comprised of a jacket with Indian motif, an asymmetrical flared skirt & knee length boots.

Angad Bedi:
The actor who was much appreciated for his role in Pink movie walked down the ramp for designer Pawan Sachdeva. He looked dashing in the Indian motif jacket worn over an asymmetrical kurta with churidar. Both Nora Fatehi & Angad Bedi were the show stoppers for Pawan Sachdeva designer collection. Apparently, a little birdie has come up and told us that there something more interesting brewing between the duo than just walking the ramp!

Prateik Babbar:
The Babbar lad who often prefers to be out of the media spotlight agreed to do the ramp walk for designer duo Komal & Ratul Sood. He looked suave in black Jodhpuri pants and formal white jacket.

Actress Richa Chadha was the show stopper for designer Rohit Kamra. She was seen wearing black and metallic striped pants & a small jacket top.

To be honest, ‘saree’ is generally the most favorite ethnic attire but you know one cannot move around doing household chores with ease while draped in the 9-yard magic. So long skirts are what I find my solace in for fostering my love for ethnic dressing. Today a lot of Indian ethnic brands have vivid skirts and other stuff machine-made, handloom made, embroidered and what not.
