The height & width of the car is 40mm more than its predecessor. The front part of the car has stylishly modified an all new Hexagonal Grille. While other changes in the exterior design are LED Projector Headlamps with signature LED daytime running lights, Precision Cut Two-tone Alloy Wheels, Fog Lamps with Chrome Fins. Sculpted beautifully is the side part of the car adding some brownie points. Also, do no miss out the stunning chrome highlight making giving it a stunning road presence!
Talking about its interiors the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire is more spacious than ever before. The shoulder room at the back has increased by 30mm while in front it has been increased by 20mm. While the legroom has been increased by 55mm. The instrument panel has been designed very tastefully to give a better driving experience. Apart from this among the updated interiors are rear AC vent, dual tone instrument panel, and better upholstery.
The powertrains in both Petrol and Diesel variants are the same viz K-12 series petrol engine and D13A diesel engine. However, the car gives the highest mileage in Sedan Category in India that is 22 Kms./Ltr. in petrol variant while 28.4 Kms/Ltr. in the diesel variant. This is because the car is lighter and more aerodynamic in design.
A shift from ‘Swift’ DNA to HEARTECT Platform:
Wondering why the ‘Swift’ has been dropped from the name of Maruti Suzuki Dzire 2017? The reason for this is because the new Dzire doesn’t have the Swift’s DNA. Rather it is made on the new ‘HEARTECT platform’ which uses ultra-high tensile steel. This works to reduce the overall weight of the car by 85 kgs and improves the mileage.
Safety Features of Maruti Suzuki Dzire:
The new Maruti Suzuki Dzire meets all the futuristic safety norms that are yet to come in the Indian market for offset impact, side impact and more. So it has dual front airbags, Pre-tensioner seat belts, ABS with EBD & Brake assistance, and the ISOFIX child anchorage for placing child seat.
