Loved the emotions and the special attachment to the book you’ve so vividly described Judy. “Sach! Na jaane kya baath hai inme” 🙂
Though, I understood that ‘karine’ is close to chav ya pyaar se, could you write down the actual meaning? Best Wishes.
Thanks for liking my poem..Well to the best of my understanding ‘Karine se’ means to keep something systematically.. however in this poem I had a mix of meaning with keeping ‘this’ book systematically, with lots of love and with a wish to cherish it forever..
🙂 Probably synonym for “Saleeka se” . Yup! Could feel the love for books.
Looking forward and will read other posts soon Judy.
Keep Writing. Best Wishes
Actually I want to clarify you on one point, it might be my shortcoming also in expressing myself..Here it is not the love for books that I’m expressing.. Many a times in a poem, words aren’t meant to be understood in their literal sense but have a deeper meaning. Here I wish to express the unsuccessful love memories in the name of book that many people cherish within themselves for their whole lifetime.. 🙂
🙂 my bad. Thanks for the clarification. I read it as memories attached with book – ‘yaadein’ that he cherishes and was determined to keep it fresh. With time caught up in life, when he returns, there they are with many conflicts – love, failure, and rest. But, still he couldn’t shake it off and this echoed in my mind “na jaane kya baat thi inme” 🙂 (sorry if I didn’t get it right. But loved it the way I interpreted it 🙂 Glad you wrote your thoughts.)
indeed when we sit somewhere alone and think of past the memories that we had made , they remind us of all those times .. I do hope and wish that no one in the world ever has to live without their Love and their are no partings ..
a lot of memories came flooding back reading the poem ..
I guess LIFE happens , the show must go on as they say ..
Beautiful desceription of the effect of passing time on love. One thing I couldn’t figure out that why you use masculine gender (doonga)? If you don’t mind, would you please care to explain… 🙂

the poem goes round and round with the emotions of memoirs and does not want to let it go.
Good one.
Beautiful lines ! There is such a depth of emotions hidden behind.
