An After Thought

Get close with cupid games this Valentine’s Day..

‘Love’ what it is? Is it a mushy feeling, respect, admiration, companionship or nothing – maybe a fictional notion that’s has been given to an arrangement of convenience. In my opinion its definition varies with person to person. For some love may be a passing phase of teenage which later in life is often re-christened to be as infatuation and abandoned to be forgotten. For some it is Bollywood inspired, larger than life thing. Movies like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Love Actually, Notting Hill being their greatest life inspiration.
So the big question what happens after marriage? Does happy ending exists? Possibly it does for some whose love shapes into a marriage and for some arrange married people. But being married for a while now the topic of love makes me think what about love after marriage?
I may sound like an agony aunt but this is one point that we all married people need to ask ourselves. Does it exists or is lost in the forwarded jokes about husband and wife. A year or two after marriage is often thought to be the end of mushy romance and love. For most people it actually does end after a couple of years of living together. Perhaps in the routine life and responsibilities bestowed upon by life does take a toll in varying percentages on this little four letter word ‘LOVE’.
This thought reminds me of upcoming Valentine’s Day. Every year though this day is marked special in my date calendar but monotony and boredom have crawled in the course of events on this day. After all how can a person feel special with monotony in planning. So this time I am thinking to do things differently.
I am planning to let my love for my crush, that’s my husband dearest, flow without ifs’ and buts’. Since I am a romantic movie fan while my husband a workaholic I plan to get closer to him taking both these factor into consideration.

♥ The Plan ♥

Love Actually has been my all time favorite romantic film. Especially the scene where the hero confesses his love for Keira Knightley, using placards, makes my heart melt the most.
Since this year Valentine’s day is falling on a Saturday and my husband would be in office. So I plan to send a chain of emails to him on his official email id. Now this may be a risky idea considering office firewall and the possibility of being seen by colleagues etc. The sole advantage of this idea is that it will surely grab his attention, will be seen & not be missed.

So here it goes:

Hope my plan does work on him, agrees with my proposal and make our this year’s Valentine’s Day really special. This Valentine’s play some cupid games with your crush. Put on your thinking cap, propose in style and get close up with your loved one. Are you game?
