I dream of Tata Bolt..

Today I had to visit one of my long time friend at her office in Unitech Cyber Park, Gurgaon which is nearby my home. She guided me to sit in one of the restaurants there while she came down from her office. Just as I was heading towards the restaurant I happened to see the Tata bolt arena where a dazzling white Bolt car was on display.

For a moment I thought to let go and simply head to the food joint, as I stood pondering over this my friend joined me. I told her how a day before, over a cup of tea, me & my husband were discussing about buying a new car and today I see this newly launched ‘Bolt’.

“Oh! buying a new car…partyyy… Okay, on a serious note, let’s just go and checkout this new car. You will get an idea about it too, and who knows you might just end buying this one only.” was her reply to me. This is when we both visited the Tata Bolt arena.

The five vantage points of Tata Bolt in my opinion for a good driver like me are:

• Designed to Impress:

  Being a girl, the first think that by default caught my eyes was its stunning design. It not only has magnificent exteriors but equally beautiful interiors which promise to give its owner comforting and class apart like feeling. The exterior comprises of a unique humanity line which looks to me like a beautiful smile of a handsome boy. Among other bold exterior features are dynamic alloy wheels, floating roof,  and smoked projector headlamps. Equally impressive are its interiors with rugby seats for utmost comfort of passengers, fully automatic AC with trapezoid vents and electric power assisted steering with quick buttons.

  

• Multi-Drive:

  I had only heard about the engineering marvel behind the newly developed Tata Motor’s Revotron engine but with Bolt, I got to experience it. Tata Bolt’s petrol variant has Revotron 1.2 T engine as its heart. Powered by this, Bolt comes with multi-drive option. In a common man’s language it means that the driver is given three modes to drive namely Eco, Sports & City. This feature gives you the freedom to choose the mode as per your preference for good mileage and power. So suppose you choose the ‘Eco’ mode it will give you maximum fuel efficiency while ‘Sports’ mode will give your car a zooming power. ‘City’ mode on the contrary is for driving within city limits with regular traffic condition. It is a balance of mileage and power. In addition the petrol variant comes turbocharged which gives car an extra edge.

• ConnectNext Touchscreen infotainment by Harman:

  ‘Bolt’ comes with a hi-tech touchscreen infotainment system developed in association with Harman. Now to all those technology challenged people like me, ‘Harman’ is a premium brand of music systems worldwide. Among the innumerable things one can do via this feature are voice command recognition for playing favorite songs, making calls and controlling AC; giving passengers a truly hands free experience. Wherever I go, the feature of smartphone enabled navigation will never let me get lost in this big world.

• Safety:

  Safety is definitely a major concern for a travel freak like me. As they say prevention is always better than cure; Tata Bolt comes with dual front airbags, speed sensing auto locks on all doors and 9th generation ABS by Bosch  with EBD & corner stability corner. The safety features in Bolt truly match my never say die attitude!

• Price:

  The basic model of Tata Bolt petrol variant is priced at Rs. 4.4 lakhs onwards (ex-showroom price) while the top model with Quadrajet diesel engine costing Rs. 6.9 lakhs. The pricing as against the complete package of ‘Bolt’ with the trust of Tata Motors is what stole my heart away.

  

  I am sure Tata Bolt will attract many people looking for a posh hatchback car. For me I dream of Tata Bolt..
