
White Pomfret is my favorite among all the fishes because of its simplicity. It has simple yet fantastic taste and simple body design. It is an easy non-veg starter and quick to cook and yummy.
Here is the recipe for this delectable fish fry:
Ingredients:

Silver or White Pomfret: 4 Nos.

Turmeric Powder: 1 Tsp.

Red Chili Powder: 2 Tsp.

Ginger-Garlic Paste: 2 Tbsp.

Lime juice: 4 Tbsp.

Semolina (Sooji/Rava): 1 Cup

Oil for shallow frying

Salt to taste
Method:

Clean the fish, wash and pat dry it.

With a knife make diagonal slits within the dorso-ventrally lying fish so that the seasoning gets well into the fish.

Barring oil, make a paste of all the other ingredients namely redchili powder, turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste, salt, lime juice. Apply it on both sides of the fish, massage the fish gently and then let it marinate for an hour.

After the fish has marinated, heat oil in a frying pan preferably a non-stick pan.

Spread semolina in a plate and coat the fish with it.

Now shallow fry the fish until golden brown.

Serve it with salad and coriander chutney.
