Well to be honest before marriage I didn’t know much of cooking. But post marriage I had to learn rather do an on the job training. Today eating and serving new recipes to my family is one of my hobby. So the other day I was watching T.V. and saw this very simple yet sumptuous recipe of pasta. After trying this recipe I bet your children won’t demand to eat it from outside.
So here’s the simple recipe for making Pasta in Creamy Tomato Sauce:
Ingredients:
Elbow Pasta: 1 Cup
Chopped Tomato: 2 Medium
Puree of 2 medium Tomatoes
Garlic: 5-6 Nos.
Olive Oil : 2 Tbsp.
For White Sauce:
Butter: 2 Tbsp.
Refined Flour: 1 Tbsp.
Milk: One cup
Seasoning:
Salt to taste
Black Pepper: 1 Tsp.
Red Chili Flakes: 1 Tsp.
Italian Five Spice Seasoning: 1 Tsp.
Additions:
Parmesan Cheese or Processed Cheese and Mozzarella (optional)
Method:
-
In a pan to the boiling water add Elbow pasta and cook till al dente. Take the pasta from the hot water and transfer it to cold water. After five to ten minutes, drain water and let the pasta rest.
-
Meanwhile heat oil in a pan. Now add chopped garlic and fry until light brown.
-
Add chopped tomato and tomato purée in the fry pan.
-
Now add chili flakes, salt, pepper, Italian five spice and mix well. Let it cook until the tomatoes are done.
-
In a desperate pan add butter. To it add the refined flour mix well. Lastly add milk and contiguously stir until the white sauce thickens.
-
Once the tomatoes mixture is cooked well, leaving oil from sides then add the pasta into it. Stir well. Here the pasta I used is called Elbow because of its shape. However you can take any type of pasta like Penne etc.
-
Now add the white sauce and mix well.
-
Lastly add your choice of cheese. Mix and your pasta is ready.
-
Serve it hot with topping of cheese, chili flakes, basil and Italian five spice.
Yummy! Looks so delicious!
