Book Review – “Capturing Wildlife Moments in India” by Ashok Mahindra

List of Contents

Photography is fast becoming an infectious hobby for many. But wild life photography is still waiting for its share of popularity. A plausible reason for this might be the amount of effort that has to be put in clicking a single photograph. Here the models are quite different as compared to human beings and have their own style. Sometimes I feel it is quite similar to ‘fishing’ where patience is the key to success.
So when I got a chance to do a book review for a coffee table book exclusively dedicated to the wild life, I grabbed the opportunity instantly. This book has 120 photographs of wild animals and birds that have been clicked from over 30 different parks, sanctuaries and other locations. This book aims at creating awareness towards the rapidly depleting wildlife and the steps needed to be taken asap towards preservation of these animals and birds. It is a photo-centric book with small descriptions about the picture like the animal introduction, the location where it was shot and the photo clicking experience.

Travel enthusiasts, animal lovers, wildlife enthusiasts, aspiring wildlife photographers

Why is it perfect for your coffee table?

Flaunt your passion for nature and animals by placing this book on your coffee table in the living room. The book carries beautifully captured photographs of voracious predators, endangered animals and birds some of which need immediate attention for their conservation. For people who are travelers by heart, the book lists out different wildlife hot spots in India and apt places to stay there. While on the other hand for people who have interest in wildlife photography the book divulges some great wildlife photography tips and camera techniques by the author himself.
