Osho or Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh was a famous Indian Guru. He was the founder of the Rajneeshism Movement across the world. He rose to glory during the 1980s with thousands of people becoming his followers. The believers included many Indians & also people from other nationalities. He started the Pune centre which is still very popular with the name OSHO International Meditation Resort. After which he interestingly founded Rajneeshpuram in the Oregon state of America. During this time Ma Anand Sheela was his close aide. This centre was operational from 1981-1988. Though towards the late 1980s he and his centres became infamous for indulgence in criminal activities and fraud charges. Whatever it is Osho or Chandra Mohan Jain (his original name) was a post-graduate in Philosophy.
